Parent and Child Dedication

The scriptural root of this type of dedication is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28. “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given to the Lord.”

Dedication is not a sacrament. It cannot impart grace or salvation to your child. Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ as each person recognized his or her sinfulness and receives forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Dedication is meant for children under the age of 12. If your child is older please consider our next Baptism opportunity for anyone over the age of 12.

Dedication is parental recognition of a solemn responsibility and trust – a responsibility to raise your child in the nurture and instruction of the Lord. The dedication service provides parents an opportunity to make this commitment public before God, friends and family.

To participate in our next Parent/Child Dedication, please contacts the Information Center  for date and  service times .
